• Tied for #1 across all NTEP locations
in overall quality in the 2000 NTEP trials
• The #1 variety at sports turf heights
of 1 to 2-inch mowing
• The #1 variety in the Transition Zone
• EverGlade is a breakthrough in unsurpassed
disease resistance
• A fabulous super rich green color
• EverGlade Follows In An Impressive
“Glade” Legacy: EverGlade is the
third variety in the Glade family of top varieties
and is by far the most impressive. In the
2000 NTEP (2000-02 data), EverGlade tied for
#1 nationwide (out of 173 entries). It ranked
among the very top varieties across Illinois,
Kansas, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Missouri,
Virginia, Washington, and Wyoming. It showed
superior performance in the Northeast, Midwest,
and Mountain West regions in overall quality.
In the tough Transition Zone, EverGlade scored
higher than any other bluegrass.
• EverGlade Sets A New Standard For
Disease Resistance: EverGlade earned its top
NTEP credentials by resisting a broader pest
spectrum than any previous Kentucky bluegrass
variety. A research breakthrough dramatically
improved the stem and leaf rust resistance
in EverGlade – these diseases are two
of Kentucky bluegrass’s toughest foes.
EverGlade has more resistance to rust and
other pests than other top bluegrass varieties
(details below). And better pest resistance
means less blemishes and fewer pesticides.
• Naturally Dark Green, Dense, and Fine
Bladed: EverGlade Kentucky bluegrass is genetically
dark green and dense, with an attractive appearance
– by itself or in combinations with
fescue or perennial ryegrass.
Superior – Stem rust, leaf rust, leaf
spot
Excellent – Anthracnose, dollar spot,
red thread, necrotic ring spot, summer patch
Good – Microdochium pink snow mold,
Poa annua, brown patch, powdery mildew
EverGlade was developed by Doug Brede, Ph.D.,
at Jacklin Seed’s world-class bluegrass
breeding facilities in Idaho. EverGlade originated
from hybrid cross 92-4230 with breeding line
92-0076 as the mother plant.
