Accent’s quality performance has been
among the top 20 varieties in the National
Turfgrass Evaluation Program’s (NTEP)
1994 perennial ryegrass trial.
ESTABLISHES UNDER TOUGH CONDITIONS:
Accent’s speedy germination and seedling
vigor provide quick establishment, even under
adverse growing conditions.
BEAUTIFUL TURF:
Accent is a medium dark green variety that
forms a dense turf. It is especially dark
and dense during the spring and summer months.
EFFECTIVE IN AN IPM PROGRAM:
Accent complements an Integrated Pest Management
program by its improved disease resistance
in conjunction with high endophyte content.
Its excellent persistence is reflected in
a high living ground coverage through the
four seasons, with reduced winter damage.
INSECT RESISTANCE:
Accent is enhanced with Neotyphodium endophyte
to provide excellent resistance to several
common turfgrass surface-feeding insects,
including:
• Sod webworm - Crambus spp.
• Chinchbug - Blissus spp.
• Billbug - Sphenophorus parvulus
• Weevil - Hyperodes and Listronotus
spp.
• Aphid - Aphis spp.
• Fall armyworm - Spodoptera frugiperda
